This tall vase is great to enjoy on it's own in an MCM setting or with tall flowers - real, dried or artificial.
The unique drip glaze is called Lava Rock. It's a bright red with hints of orange. The brown grey, at the top, resembles the color of ashes from a fire 🔥.
When taking the vase outside late afternoon I could start to understand why the drip glaze was called Lava Rock. See the closer up photos.
No flaws that I can find.
Approx measurements
11 3/8 inches tall
5 1/8 inch diameter at the top
Canadiana is red clay. The founder, Alfred Dubé, started Canadiana in the 1960s after working as a manager over at BMP. From what I know, Canadiana was based in Ingleside, ON. The drip glaze in pottery was trending at the time and so was red clay.
*Please note it is not the orange of Quebec's Canuck Pottery. The two glazes can look similar in photos.
