Vintage original 1964 #200 edition PROBE Game of Words by Parker Brothers made in Canada. This is a card game/board game. Technically, there is no board, but there are trays for your cards. The object of the game is for players to deduce a secret word chosen by an opponent. Each player selects a secret word of up to 12 letters or less. The other players then try to guess it, letter by letter. The player with the most points in the end of the game wins. Gameplay is similar to a multiplayer game of Hangman. Players can use "blanks" to disguise the length of their word, and a 50-point penalty is given for an incorrect guess of blanks. An activity deck is used to introduce twists, such as altering scores or revealing letters, which adds an element of both skill and chance. Even if a player's word is fully revealed, they continue to guess opponents' letters and can still score points, ensuring no one is left out of the game!
