Offering a very pretty, vintage designer maxi dress is in in excellent condition.
My mother in law purchased it new to wear to my husbands 1st birthday in 1966.
It was worn once and then dry cleaned and stored.
It is labeled: Marcel Fenez designed by Roland Klein.
Label: Marcel Fenez Designed by Roland Klein. Roland Klein worked at Christian Dior from 1960 until 1962, then working as Karl Lagerfeld’s assistant at Patou until 1965 when he went to work in London for manufacturer Marcel Fenez, becoming its director in 1973.
It has a light blue, soft pink and white floral lattice design.
It also has a cornflower blue velvet belt sash laced through the waist, and the top is satin lined.
Features sheer balloon sleeves with bric-a-brac detailing at cuffs (matches at waist).
The long skirt is pleated and is a lightweight fabric.
Top bodice is fully lined in satin with a back zipper and hook & eye closure.
There is no size tag, but my mil measured a medium during this time (size 8)
Measurements are approx - measured one side, flat:
Bust: 16"
Under armpit to armpit: 14.5"
Waist: 13"
Hips: 16"
Sleeve length (shoulder to bottom cuff): 15.5"
Total length (top of bodice to bottom hem): 52.5"
