Vintage early 1900s black & gold Kashmiri paisley silk shawl scarf

Additional info on the item’s origin and era: This is a 19th century to early 20th century Kashmir-inspired woven shawl (sometimes Indo-Persian imports or European machine looms emulating Kashmiri paisley and floral motifs). The fine border striping and scattered motifs are consistent with 1880s–1910s wool/silk blend shawls. These were transitional pieces after the height of the Kashmiri paisley craze (mid-1800s), when designs became smaller and often machine-woven.
