Made from Polyamide, Polyurethane and Aramid - the stuff used in bullet proof vests, along with a small percentage of elastane to ensure comfort, it’s a serious combo that will surely last a century as stated in the name. Built using the same military-grade material as the pants, the 100 Year Shorts are designed to last. And that begins with the fabric, crafted by Switzerland’s Schoeller Textiles, which Vollebak has dubbed “the SpaceX of fabric mills.” The shorts are tough as nails and boast a water-repellant, quick-drying external layer; a fire-proof middle layer which, when in contact with fire, will expand to 1000x its size to create a protective barrier between you and the flames; and a base layer that, while protective, will feel as comfortable as an old pair of cotton sweatpants. Vollebak made us of plant-based technology to create these high-performance, abrasion-resistant, versatile shorts. Additionally, the shorts feature a phone pocket on the front leg, a watch pocket fitted with a black nylon paracord, and a back pocket with press studs and storm flap so you can store all of your EDC on your next adventure.
