cathcatdog Well, I just learned something new and awful. The place I use is a courtesy USPS drop-off/pick-up site but not run by the USPS. They do not/cannot take responsibility for packages the USPS misplaces. The man I spoke with said a package dropped Tues afternoon that has not been scanned by Thurs morning may not necessarily be lost, though. And I have had no problems using them (until now). I will look into it more, and let's stay in touch. And I'm sorry.

cathcatdog Wait...the comment above [the one that starts "Hello, I'm Catherine...] indicates I dropped the package 1 day ago which was Wednesday (rather than what I was thinking--Tuesday). So it's not been quite 24 hours that the USPS has had the package without having scanned it. That may be good news, right? (Of course it's awful news that I have such a lousy memory.)

cathcatdog Poshmark Support is awesome, so I'm going to contact them to see what they can advise. I will also change how I do my shipping. How do you ship to buyers? Do you take packages to the USPS? Do you have the USPS pick them up from your home? Do you get a receipt or some verification that the package is in USPS' possession so that if it gets lost before being scanned into their tracking system you have some way to prove that it was in their possession? Thanks!

mommalex21 @cathcatdog oh time flies, felt like two days ago 🤣 but yes a good thing it hasn't been that long . it is a bummer, hopefully they will be scanned soon. I super appreciate your quick response and already working on a solution!! I've never had to deal with poshmark customer service yet so glad to hear they're good.

mommalex21 @cathcatdog as far as how I've shipped , first I would go in the post office. but since covid19, I schedule a USPS pickup from the home. it's actually super easy, you can schedule online by midnight the night before , and you don't have to go in the post office. they have scanned my packages at pickup and then you receive an email saying they've picked it up with a confirmation #.
