" Sozni (or Suzani) embroidery is a style of embroidery from the Jammu and Kashmir region in the northwest of the Indian subcontinent" It is a lightweight shawl that is versatile all year round! The fabric is 100 percent pure cashmere wool which is handloom woven (NOT MACHINE). The thread used for the embroidery is made of silk and you can tell by a beautiful sheen when you look at the embroidery closely. Kashmiri artisan work on an average of 2 to 3 hours a day doing this detailed embroidery on cashmere shawl/wrap, and it takes 15 to 20 days to finish making one shawl. Approx. size: 36'x80' inches
