The Star of Le Moyne quilt consist of 8 pointed stars and has been a part of early American quilt patterns since 1815. This quilt consists of some stunning very colorful silk fabrics Some deterioration has set in on some of the blocks but it all seems to blend into the overall effect of the quilt. One edge is a bit frayed. (See pictures). Back is a checker board pattern of silk or a sateen and has a few spots of deterioration at where the folds are.
