This is a stunning antique silverplate spoon holder with lid and bird finial, complete with 12 matching spoons. Note: one of the spoon holders has a broken side piece (included and taped in the lid if you wish to repair). The piece is beautifully detailed with floral repoussé handles, a raised floral band around the base, and a finely cast bird finial on the lid. The spoons feature ornate handles and are each stamped “Wm. Rogers”, a well-known American silverplate maker active from the late 19th to mid-20th century.
• Material: Silverplate (silver plated)
• Maker: Wm. Rogers, with additional hallmarks and pattern numbers stamped on the base
• Date: Likely early 1900s (Edwardian era), possibly late Victorian
• Condition: Good antique condition, with visible patina/tarnish that adds to its authenticity and charm. Could be polished if desired, but many collectors prefer the natural aged look.
• Spoons: Full set of 12 matching silverplate spoons, each approx. 6” long
• Holder dimensions: Approx. 11” tall (to finial), 8.5” wide handle to handle, 5” base diameter
