DESCRIPTION: This beautiful 100% silk small gavroche silk scarf is named: Lanternes, Ballons et Cocardes. The hand-rolled edges are a dark gray with a blushed pink background. Whether it's in your hair, around your neck or on a bag, this small-sized scarf is easy to wear and instantly transforms your look. Made in France. Designed by Katie Scott. This scarf is still sold by Hermès. Dimensions: 42 x 43 cm. As this scarf is hand-rolled, the dimensions indicated may vary. Purchased from the Toronto store online in July 2023 (see last picture for invoice). THE STORY BEHIND: Based on the Lanternes, Ballons et Cocardes scarf design. Imagine the cacophony that must have reigned on Noah's Ark, between the roars of the lion, the braying of the zebra, the honking of the penguin and the grunts of the giraffe. In Katie Scott's version the animals are less agitated, and a little more ostentatious. Give them some light and they flaunt their silhouettes like glowing lanterns, some round, some oval, cylindrical or diamond-shaped, according to their mood… the shape doesn't matter, as long as it's flat! Their profusion of multicolored geometrical shapes makes a dazzling spectacle.
