Is it a magnetic closure? Are the straps attached to the bag sides or the top of the flap? Sorry- I just hate it when the handle pops the closure open.

No not magnetic. the flap just slides in under horsebit. When you unclip the chain the loop is inside the bag and it won't show worn as a clutch.
