Honey Dijon, in case you haven't heard of her, is an iconic trans black woman DJ, known for her Chicago House style since the 90s, and favorite DJ of the Haute Couture runway scene for Dior and Louis Vuitton. What do you suppose happens when she does a fashion collaboration with avant-garde luxury streetwear label Comme Des Garcons? Honey F*cking Dijon, that's what. This lined satin track jacket is an absolutely gorgeous example. It has wide, almost kimono-like sleeves cuffed with rich burgundy red rib-knit trim - repeated at collar and cuffs. The brand name is discreetly embroidered at the front pocket, and a giant abstract logo is appliquéd on the back, looking like Helvetica extra-black made a baby with a Kanji character. This is not a quiet jacket, this is for girls night out at the club, casually tossed over a bodycon mini and dancing shoes. Or with baggy sweats, a crop top, and some fancy kicks. Perfect for wearing to pretty much any Fashion Week type event. If I miraculously slim down my bust enough to wear this before someone snaps it up, I'm definitely keeping it.
