WWI Vintage Silk Embroidered Handkerchief or Doily, ~ "FRAE BONNIE SCOTLAND"

World War I "Sweetheart Handkerchief" or doilyI. Pink silk with a hand embroidered Scottish design 12" x 12" (30 cm x 30 cm). These handkerchiefs were made in Europe for soldiers to send home to sweethearts. This was probably sent by my grandfather or great grandfather. Came out of Mom's & Grandma's trunk that has been in storage for 4 decades. "As Found" condition, not laundered, no moth balls, non smoking ~ 100 year old Silk is in surprisingly good condition.
