Exquisite antique cameo brooch/pendant set in 18K gold

This special piece features a high relief carving of a Roman woman in profile. I believe this 1-1/2" X 1" beauty is crafted from angel skin coral. The scalloped frame is in solid gold, marked 18K. I don't know the precise age, but the simple C type clasp suggests late 19th or early 20th century. There is an attached hoop so the piece can be worn as a pendant, but as there was no bail, I have added a larger hoop, which is not solid gold. In very nice condition.
